It was a normal morning -- I did manage to start two chickens in my roaster (see recipe here)
and then once I got the 3 girls and Trent out the door I hopped in the car with the boys to head to Owen's 15 month check-up. (yes, one month late). He is still coughing, but his lungs were clear and the fluid behind his ears wasn't causing an infection . . . yet. The good news for Owen was that since he was still "under the weather" he didn't have to get his shots today!
Then we headed to the Elementary school where I registered Adam for Kindergarten next year. He is so ready and excited!
Then we came home and made homemade granola (see recipe here)
The boys entertained themselves drumming on the #10 cans.
Here it is all done!
Then we played outside since it was over 60 degrees!!!!
Just so you know how weird this weather is-- our flowers are already coming up. Our forsythia is about to bloom. Last year the forsythia bloomed on March 7.
and the tulips and daffodils are poking through as well -- and they don't usually appear until April.

our weather in KC has been just as weird. My daffodils are up and some are almost ready to bloom. I'm afraid it's going to snow and freeze them all. Last week kids played in shorts and bare feet!
