The Pool is done!

We had our first swim in the pool today. It was fun. We all love it!!!!

Happy 6th Birthday to Adam!

My boy is SIX! I cannot believe it! He loves school. He loves learning. He is fun and happy.

They are plastering the pool and as soon as they are done the water will start pouring in to fill. Of course it will take a while!

The fall festival

Amber and I took all of the kids to the fall festival at the elementary school. We got there a little early, which was a very good thing. We got good parking. We were the first people through the doors. And we were the second people in line for balloons. And the balloons were really amazing but each one took several minutes. Within a few minutes of getting in line for the balloons the line wrapped all the way down the hallway. Then we got in line for facepainting and while waiting in line the keepsake their dinner which was pizza. And we scored it so that we got to watch Adam and Madelyn do their dances while waiting in line.
Then we headed out to all the inflatable's. There was one long line and we all took turns waiting in that while the kids ran to all of the other ones and got their fair share of the fun.
Tag teaming the fall festivals at elementary schools is definitely the only way to go. I'm so glad Amber was in town. It made it a lot of fun.

Irony?

Is it just me or is this ridiculous? They sent home an entire piece of paper to say this????

Just me and Owen

During the day it can be pretty quiet. So today we thought we'd check out the Dallas Temple. It turns out it is not very far (about 25 minutes away).

Icecream for breakfast?

When all your siblings go to school and you are left behind and when you have a little cold? Your mom gives in and gives you icecream for breakfast and lets you watch Cars 2.

Day 3 in China -- The Evening -- The Great Wall

At 4:30 we got on our busses for the 90 minutes (in traffic) bus ride to the Juyong pass. This was the highlight of our trip for me. It was spectacular. Not only the wall, but also the weather, the food, the entertainment, and all. The tables were set right on the wall and it was a grand buffet. There were chinese acrobat performances and the wall was all lit up. I was glad we got there on the first round of busses so that we could see the wall in day light first.
