Visiting my mother's grave

After the race yesterday we drove to the cemetery where my mother is buried. The plan was for the headstone to have just been installed and that way we could all see it. But, it hadn't been finished.

The funeral home did set out chairs, a tent, cold water, and a mock up of the bronze engraving for all of us to see. They also had a small bronze picture engraved the same way as the headstone so we could see how it will look. It was quite hot so it was nice to have the tent and water there. Sometimes it is so hot that you don't want to linger very long. But we were able to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet there at the cemetery for a little while.
