Oops - bought a new carpet

While it is soft and fluffy, it is too white.  I returned it.  But that sure took a ton of time!

I re-did the chalkboard at home while Trent is enjoying yummy tapas and touring Madrid (and of course lots of working)

Today was a normal, busy day. Later in the evening I was dropping my friend Emily off at her house when I noticed this right in front of the car.

It has still been warm, but the evenings are a little cooler.  My yard looks lovely.

Sunday Drives and Blood Moons

Today it was just me and the kids.  Trent is in Madrid.  We had a great day together.  Church, Choir, and then Julianne drove us around.  We ended up at CPK and we had a lovely Sunday dinner there.  Then we all got ready for bed and laid in the boys room watching the lunar eclipse.

Busy Saturday

Adam's 9th birthday is today.

Plus 7:30 swim meet, 8:30 5K, 10:45 softball, 1:45 airport run, 3:45 baseball, 7:00 soccer

It costs me $4.50 to keep him happy through a 90 minute baseball game. $2 snow cone $1.50 popcorn and $1.00 ring pop. #bestmoneyieverspent

Adam with 2 RBI's in today's first game (and loss) of the season. His league is now all kid pitch and the big hits of previous seasons off of your coach are now gone. I think collectively there were 25 walks? I know it will get better but today's game seemed really slow!

Celebrating Adam's 9th birthday

I took him treats at school recess and we had 12 of his closest friends here to swim with him and Owen (14 boys total)!!!!

Thursday

Owen had friends over for the day and we made cupcakes, colored, and spilled marshmallows everywhere!

Parks, Swim Meets and Baseball

Today is the last official day of Summer and we felt like summer.  92 degrees and humid. 

Owen and I checked out a park and climbed a little on the climbing tower. 




Then Adam headed to baseball and I went to watch Julianne's swim meet. 

Trent's teeth

Today we recovered from the weekend.  Both Trent and I had colds and felt a little under the weather.  Trent is going to start invisalign so I had to take pics of his teeth. 

On Sunday

We went to church, had lunch, said goodbye to Dad and Sally, had personal progress activity, had choir practice, and then ate cookies and icecream.  Also, I took no photos.  So here are some photos I sent Trent showing his the ridiculous things you can do with the new snapchat update.

On Saturday

We head early softball and soccer and it rained on both games, but we were able to finish them.  Dad and Sally were here and brought icecream.  We watched UT and BYU's football games -- they did not play eachother, and they both lost by one.

Apparantly we didnt' take any photos -- so here is one more from taking Owen to the aquarium this week.

On Friday

I did 14 loads of laundry.

 So Also this week Owen got to learn about the very hungry caterpillar.  Somehow I guess we never read it to him.  We were playing another matching game and he was not understanding that a caterpillar and butterfly are the same animal.

So, we caught up on our parenting and read the book, made caterpillar cake, and had fun.

On Thursday

We went to the Garth Brook Concert!!!!!!!

On Wednesday

Our ward played a real life "where's waldo?" game at Town Square.  The kids had to find Waldo, a shopaholic, bikers, and a bunch more.  I was a swamp monster.  They had to find me.  

On Tuesday

I took Owen and a few of his friends to tour the fire station.  They had a lot of fun and right at the end, they got called out for a grass fire.  The kids LOVED it.

On Monday

Owen saw the dragon knight costume at Costco and HAD to have it.  He has been wearing it all day and loves it.  I suspect he'll love right up until Halloween and then he'll hate it and want a new costume.

Cale's open house

My friend's son leaves this week on a mission.  He is going to Mexico City.  So we went to church, had choir practice, and then I helped her set up and clean up a little.  It looked very pretty and I took a few pictures.

Softball and soccer Saturday

Madelyn's team won the softball game and Catherine's team fell a little short.

While going through Costco, Owen NEEDED to sit in the box with the giant bears.  Then he announced he loved being in the bear mosh pit.  Where does he learn this stuff?
