6 and under swimmers

I am already sad for the summer in 2 years where I don't have a 6 and under. They want a tiger shark on their tummy. They think I am better than picasso. Their fears and worries about swim meets are real and I know how to help them. Someday their fears and worries will be bigger than their swim races. And I do not have the skills to calm those kind of troubles. But for another couple of years on Wednesday afternoons you can call me the "swim team whisperer"

Summer magic in the garden

I am in love with my yard. I could sit out there and watch the bees and the spiders and the flowers and swim. If only it weren't so hot!

Sun fish & contortionist

Owen had a great time catching little sun fish. There were so many you could almost catch one every cast.
Then we watched America's Got Talent. Owen was kind of mezmorized by the contortionist and suddenly got off the couch to "attempt" contortionism!!!

This show was really lousy. What a waste of time! At least I had Madelyn and Trent there to enjoy being together.

We started at the DMV.

The line was long and long. We got there before it opened and waited and waited. Then, they announced that they were not taking any more walk in drive tests. ugh!!!
So we went to a driving school and took her test. She passed her test!!!

Then we had to go to the DPS and file the paperwork.

Father's day and family birthday celebration

With Julianne gone on her actual birthday, we sang and celebrated today. Seemed fitting since she was born on Father's day too!

Trent is making cookies in the background. Then we watch game 7 of the NBA finals. The cavaliers won!

Beautiful

Tonight Trent, me and Catherine went to see the Carole King musical Beautiful. It was really good. I had no idea she had written 118 songs that were top 100 -- she mostly sold the music to other performers but a few of them she sang as well.

Today was just hot!

Swam and played and then went to a work dinner with Trent. I forgot to take pictures!

First swim meet

Summer day

Today was the first "normal" day of summer. We put up the umbrellas, had snow cones, played with friends, and enjoyed the 105 degree heat!

Normal Sunday

We all napped this afternoon (which doesn't usually happen).  I think a week of camp and cub scout day camp and all the busy left us all tired!

Car shopping

We spent today looking at cars.  We will need a 3rd car for Julianne to drive.  We went to carmax and several other used car places.  Hopefully we will find one soon!  I didn't take any pictures.

Fun over -- flying home

It was a fun week, but pretty quick I was flying home.  Our flight was re-routed to Oklahoma City because there was a shooting at Dallas Love field.  We had a 3 hour delay and then were back on our way.

Adam's end of year party

I got to be the classroom party mom for Adam this year. Today was the last party of the year. Adam played this mega connect four game and went undefeated-- I think he won close to 20 games in a row!!!!
