Madelyn's Baptism

I love having 3 girls in a row.  They have all worn the same dress for their baptism and photos.  I can't believe that my 3 baby girls have grown into such beautiful young ladies.  Here is Madelyn's baptism invite and the photo that will be printed and hung on the wall next to her 2 sisters.

The First Day of School 2012

Julianne is in 7th grade. Catherine is in 5th grade. Madelyn is in 3rd grade. And, Finally Adam is joining them in school in Kindergarten. As our school's work here, they are in 3 different schools with only Adam and Madelyn at the same school.

Trent goes back to work

After nearly 2 weeks off for packing days, moving days, and unpacking days -- Trent headed back to work.

At least his new car is keeping him company!

After 2 weeks off for moving Trent is headed back to work today

Owen spent the day missing his dad, insisting on only wearing a swimsuit, and practicing the recorder (rather loudly) in front of his sister's flute stand!

Owen, playing recorder, with Julianne's flute music, in a swimsuit (the only thing he wears now), in the dining room (that has no table)! That's how we roll right now.

Return of the bikes

I think that in one day here in Southlake, even with temperatures well above 100 degrees, that we have used our bikes more than we did in 4 years in CT.

The kids are loving having a trail and a park right next door.

Loving our new home.

Madelyn's 8 year old baptism photos

We live right next to a beautiful walking park with cliffs and a butterfly garden. That is where I took these photos of our sweet Madelyn.

Flying to Dallas

We flew to Dallas today. Owen just LOVES all the commotion at the airport and seeing all the planes. The other kids are pretty consumed by their electronic entertainment. We are staying at the Great wolf lodge for tonight, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It should be a lot of fun and I hope we manage to enjoy it all in between pool planning meetings, house closing stuff, school shopping, home shopping, car shopping and so much more that we have to get done.

Saying Goodbye

It was pretty tough to say good-bye to so many of our friends and neighbors. Moving is an exciting, scary, and sad thing. We spent our last day in New Canaan going to church and then hanging out at the Nelson's. The kids played and made a fire.

Happy 16th anniversary to us!

To celebrate -- we spent the whole day with Ralph and Mike, our movers. Then we took all the kids to Stew Leonard's because we were hot and sweaty and It was the only acceptable place we could eat dinner. At least we had Icecream at the end. Oh and just a little arguing with lenders to keep it exciting.

Selling the civic

It was a pretty sad day when we sold the civic. The car had been in our family since before Julianne was born. Technically the car was mine (Jamie's). When Trent and I had both accepted job offers in Houston we knew we would need a second car. We were planning our move and didn't want to buy the car in Utah and have to drive 2 cars across the country so we knew that buying it in Houston was the better choice, but we were going to be in a rush. We would move in on Saturday and both start our jobs on Monday, so we decided that while Trent was on a business trip for Nuskin (his summer internship) I would go to Houston, buy a car, and leave it at my parents house until we got there. And so that is how the car technically was in my name only.

All healed

That is what the doctor said about Catherine's arm. He did suggest no handstands, cartwheels, pull ups or monkey bars for 6 more weeks, but other than that she is free to do what she wants.

I informed him that she has behaved that way already for the last three weeks, so it was nice to have his permission now!
