Play in kitchen

I took Catherine Jamba Juice because her teeth hurt.  And Owen, Sophie, and Ruby played in the play kitchen for hours!

Labor Day

Yes, we spent the day with family -- but clearly Blue Bell icecream stole the show. It hasn't hit the shelves in Southlake yet.

 Then to Carrie's.  Then walked to dads. Tylers room was super clean!

The watermelon

A year ago we brought home a seedless watermelon from the store. It was unfortunately filled with seeds. So we had fun spitting them all over the grass.

I bet every last seed has germinated and sprouted up in my grass. 

I pulled and pulled them and finally took one and stuck it in one of my beds. You almost have to honor that kind of determination. 

Here it is today. 6 big melons growing so far. 

My yard

At the end of the summer all the flowers are full, the bushes are lush, and the colors are beautiful.  

Attic decking

Today was super busy with workers here leveling and decking the attic. I was happy to get the love sac out of the main room and into the attic.  The kids have already set up Lego bases.  (our attic is climate controlled -- so it's not miserable to be in the attic)

Dallas World Aquarium

Owen and I went to the Dallas world aquarium today with friends.  We had never been before and were surprised to find it more like a zoo than an aquarium.  We saw birds, monkeys, jaguars, fish and more.
