Owen's last swim meet & my Mom's 61st birthday

Owen doesn't have a single time that will qualify him to swim in the Regional meet next week, so his summer swim season is over. He has absolutely loved every single minute of practice and the meets and the ribbons. He loves his coaches, loves his friends, and loves swimming. He was so excited to get to do what all the big kids do.






I put together 61 photos of my mom for her birthday today.

Summertime fever

Poor Owen is feeling a little under the weather today.  With Julianne at EFY, Catherine,Madelyn, and Adam at friends houses it was just me and him home today snuggled on my bed watching Nickelodeon. 

My dad hit a big milestone yesterday and announced my age to the Facebook world. 

Today I drove

And drove and drove- to San Antonio and then back. All so Julianne and friends could have fun at EFY this week. 

U.S. Women's World Cup

We had so much fun watching the U.S. Women's soccer team play in the World Cup. Their victory over Japan today was amazing!  

So I thought I'd post fireworks to celebrate. Because after every Fourth of July I have a camera roll full of pictures that I never use! 

Happy Independence Day!

I've been practicing and improving my National Anthem Singing. So in honor of today, I'll post one of me singing at the local swim meet. You can't see me because their speaker system requires that I stand in a small room under the stands, but you can hear me.

We said good-bye to Amber and Dan early this morning as they drove to Philmont. They will be there for a week and then stop by here on there way home again. Then we took care of a lot of little things around the house -- We also finally got all the correct hardware to hang up a flag.



Then we went to some friend's house for swimming and bar-b-q.

Friday the 3rd

We began the day with Swim Team photos! Lots of little kids for me to photograph. The weather was nice and overcast so it made the photos fairly pleasant.

Then Amber and Dan and the kids arrived about 1:00.  We swam and played and had snow cones and then headed to Southlake for fireworks.

Tonight Catherine and I met Trent downtown to see Annie at the Winspear Opera House.  Mrs. Hanigan was VERY good in this production.
