My 2nd Pawling Triathlon, Evita

The alarm went off at 6am. Carrie and I got ready. Jana (a good friend) picked us up at 6:45.

We loaded our bikes and headed 45 minutes away to do the Pawling triathlon.

We had fun. It poured rain the whole race. At least we were too hot to be cold.

And then me all ready for the swim to start.

We finished, raced home, I grabbed the kids and headed up to 4 soccer games (with minutes to spare and still wearing my tri clothes that are soaking wet). When they finished, we raced back home. I got a quick shower and then Carrie and I headed to the city for dinner and Evita. (Trent took the kids to the shake shack in Westport).



Evita was SOOOOOO good. We had a great time! (exhausting day, but great day!)

The Highline Elevated Park & Waveny Park

Last night my sister Carrie arrived for a "quick" long weekend. We have lots of fun things to do. Today we drove into Manhattan, bought Evita tickets for Saturday, and then walked along the Highline. We grabbed a delicious lunch at the taco truck (a food stand along the highline). Then we raced home so we could make it to all the kids practices and games at Waveny Park. It was a beautiful day!

Beautiful night for softball

We have had a pretty wet spring here. Nearly everday it rains and nearly every day something gets rained out. So it was pretty awesome to have a beautiful sunshine filled evening for two softball games. Unfortunately they were on fields 20 minutes apart -- so Trent went to Catherine's and I went to Julianne's. Both girls are really getting good at softball and really enjoying playing it too!

My Passport Photo

I have never had a passport. You need to go somewhere to need one. I have been to Canada several times but all before 9/11 -- so I didn't need a passport. I have never been to Mexico. But now I am going somewhere. Not just sure where yet, but rumor has it that this year's partner retreat is in Beijing, China. So -- China-- I'll be ready!

Memorial Day

Madelyn's softball team walked in our town parade. The little boys wanted to tag along. They were so cute. Adam LOVED every minute of it.





Then we went to some friends house for bar-b-q.

They had a fun zip line that even I rode!

Remembering . . .

Memorial Day is such a nice holiday for remembering.

Last year-- on this Sunday we were just about to get the bad news. My mom was having surgery on Tuesday after Memorial day. The surgery showed that they couldn't do anything more to help her.

This is the video I made that night just for my mom. I sure hope she is watching down. I can't believe how much the kids have grown in a year!

The Partner Celebration

We had 88 people here. It was a little busy. I took NO photos. At the very end as we were walking the last guest out, I grabbed my camera to capture the one UNINVITED guest.
